It's week 3 of the One Room Challenge and I am beginning to get a little nervous! I am at a bit of a stand still because I am waiting to start on paint and wallpaper..although once those two are out of the way it will be a breeze from then on! If you're new to my posts, I am participating in a six week makeover challenge hosted by Linda of Calling It Home. Over 200 bloggers have linked up and you can see all their week 2 progress HERE.
Here is the blanket my grandmother made. It's a beautiful cream color.
I had a big bag of yarn already so I found a color that would work well with the room. Here is a close-up of the tassel before attaching it to the blanket.
I made enough to go up one side of the blanket and started attaching them by looping through the edge of the blanket and tying a knot.
I love this super easy and cheap way to update an old blanket. I seriously want to add tassels to everything now...but I won't..hehe!
Isn't is super cute now?! I'm obsessed and can't wait to get it on her bed. I'll be back next week with hopefully painting updates and another DIY I am currently working on. Stay tuned!
