It's week 4 of the One Room Challenge and I've made some major progress! I hung a chandelier from Lamps Plus, got the first coat of paint on the wall from Sherwin Williams (pictures coming next week), and my wallpaper came in from D. Marie Interiors. I have to say, I'm more excited than ever! All the pieces are coming together and I cannot wait to get the room styled.
OK...so how gorgeous is this light from Lamps Plus?! It's the Nicolli Clear 16" Crystal chandelier
found HERE. I'm totally obsessed with it, it's what I dreamed of when planning her big girl room. When the chandelier is on, its
crystals make the whole room sparkle. My little girl is definitely
going to feel like a princess!
The striped wall behind the chandelier will be changed to wallpaper.
Here is a sneak peek at the wallpaper..I'm so giddy about this!!
Wallpaper
is from D.Marie Interiors and it's absolutely stunning! We are putting
up the wallpaper on the main wall this weekend and I can't wait to share photos of it complete. My daughters bed will go
on that wall, along with her nightstand and a reading/play corner.
Another
item I'm excited about is THIS print from Jibe Prints. They customized
this print with my daughters name. They have many different design
options for not only kids rooms, but family rooms as well that can be customized! I have a frame ordered for it and it will have a special
place in her room.
I
went to Vintage Market Days last weekend, and found these hearts at a
booth there from @threemangoseeds. We also had a local craft fair in my
hometown and I found this beautiful dream catcher!
Ok so here is my original "to-do" list..
Find new light fixture and lampsFind a solution for the clothes that won't fit in the closet- Update the walls
- New art (possible DIY?)
Find a nightstand- Set up bed (I already have a white iron bed I have been saving!)
- Find bedding & pillows
Take out old furniture- Make a reading corner
I
believe I have everything covered and planned except for some bed
pillows...depending on how I am on time I may try to DIY a couple. We'll
see! I'm so anxious for everything to come together.
A huge THANK YOU to my sponsors for making this room possible!
Be sure to check back next week for paint and wallpaper progress!
