Master Bedroom Makeover | Week 3

Hi! Thanks for stopping by for week 3 of the One Room Challenge! Oh man, the weeks are flying by and these update posts are creeping up on me! Since the final week will be the week we photograph everything that pretty much means we have about two more weeks to finish! So, here is what we accomplished this week..

We finished this wall using the wood planks from My Timber Wall and I am obsessed! The color we used is Magnolia White from the Vintage Collection. I cannot wait to show you the whole wall. The color is almost a white washed look.

I have these two large vintage paintings and I am still trying to decide which one (if any) I want to use in this space.

Ok, here is my dilemma...I currently have a tufted headboard similar pictured to the one below. Once we installed the planks I am not completely loving the look of our bed against the color of the planks.

I have been browsing some stores and came across this metal bed pictured below and I think I am loving it. It's actually pretty affordable too! I'd love to know which you think looks best in the comments!

I did start painting this dresser today and I should be done with painting it in the next couple of days.

Here is what it looked like before... After I finish painting I plan on changing out the hardware for some card catalog hardware.

Well that is literally as far as I got in the last week! I hope to share more next week so be sure to stop back by for more progress!

Master Bedroom Makeover | Week 2

Hey friends! It's week 2 of the One Room Challenge and we still have a long way to go. We started on our wall behind our bed using planks from My Timber Wall. I chose the Vintage Collection in Magnolia White.

Master Bedroom Makeover | Week 1

Hi friends!! I am super excited to tell you that I will be participating in the One Room Challenge as a guest participant! If you're not familiar with the ORC, you can head over to the ORC blog and read all about it. I have chosen to do our master bedroom this round! It's basically the one room that's always neglected. I am finally ready to make it a space that my husband and I will love and feel relaxed in. The challenge will be finishing in just six short weeks! Be sure to come back and visit my blog weekly for updates and progress pics. is my plan!

Here is my list of things to do:
  • Wood feature wall behind the bed (from My Timber Wall)
  • Paint the walls white
  • Change out all the outlets with updated ones (from Legrand)
  • New bedding
  • Paint dresser that I got from a thrift store
  • Add sconce lights beside the bed
  • Paint night stands
  • Organize closet to add a small dresser in it
  • Remove big grey dresser and add a siting area
  • New curtains
  • New art
Phew! I'll share some before pics below BUT...I'm warning you it's not pretty! No judging please haha!

See..I warned you! Oh man, I have a lot of work to does my husband he just doesn't know it yet ;)  Be sure to check back next week to see progress! Also, be sure to head over and check out other guest participants!
