Hi! Thanks for stopping by for week 3 of the One Room Challenge! Oh man, the weeks are flying by and these update posts are creeping up on me! Since the final week will be the week we photograph everything that pretty much means we have about two more weeks to finish! So, here is what we accomplished this week..
We finished this wall using the wood planks from My Timber Wall and I am obsessed! The color we used is Magnolia White from the Vintage Collection. I cannot wait to show you the whole wall. The color is almost a white washed look.
I have these two large vintage paintings and I am still trying to decide which one (if any) I want to use in this space.
I did start painting this dresser today and I should be done with painting it in the next couple of days.
Well that is literally as far as I got in the last week! I hope to share more next week so be sure to stop back by for more progress!
Fun plan! Looking so peaceful and I love the art!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThat art is very cool!
ReplyDeleteI dunno, I see what you mean about less contrast of the tufted bed, but I think that look is a little fresher (less farmhouse which is more common) than the black bet... but also, I have had my eye on a black metal bed like that for our guestroom for a while! It's a great choice, too! I would try the tufted bed against the wall in real life, it could be a very sleek look!
Yes, I agree. I feel like the farmhouse look is going out and I do love my tufted bed. Thanks for your thoughts!
DeleteI saw this art and had to click over. Love it! Also, we had that black, metal bed frame in a couple of our homes and loved it. But I think the tone-on-tone look is so cool and current. That's my vote!
ReplyDeleteI agree! Thanks for the advice and for stopping by!
DeleteI also saw the art and wanted to know more. I like the metal frame up against the wooden planks. Looking great!!! Sammy
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Sammy!
DeleteThe art intrigued me as well! Hmmm, the black metal does offer more contrast. And yet the grey tufted is more cozy and you could also use pillows on the bed to create contrast with the well. Curious to see what you go with in the end!
ReplyDeleteThe tufted is so much more cozy! I'm going to get all the bedding on it and try and decide! Thank you so much for stopping by!
DeleteIf you read in bed, that metal one would be really uncomfortable though. I love your art too, and agree that the headboard of your tufted bed does not work against your wood wall. Maybe it could if the headboard was a different color, as is they are to close in color to each other for you to play with the different design modes.
ReplyDeleteYes I agree! The tufted is way more cozy and we do spend a lot of time reading and watching tv in here. Thanks for the advice!
DeleteI love the dreamy look of those vintage paintings!! The plank color is fabulous too!!
